Abstract

In our paper we discuss a novel P2P file sharing system optimized for smart phones, using proximity networking. Group management, peer discovery and proximity multicasting are discussed. The experiment with the proof-of-concept implementation on the Series S60 Symbian platform shows that content sharing in social proximity can happen in a cost- and resource-effective way.
