Abstract

In this paper we describe a new architecture for augmented reality (AR) multiplatform hardware device, which works in dynamic workspace environment with 3D virtual models. The users can interact with the virtual model using mouse, keyboard and stylus as interaction tools. The work plan is formed by ARToolkitPlus’ fudicial multimarker. For adding virtual objects, we propose a virtual menu inspired by the metaphor of forward and next buttons. The work plan is augmented by the virtual workspace. The user can choose his virtual workspace in dynamic way using this virtual menu and can choose a virtual object suited to the current workspace.
