Abstract

Relational databases are an essential part of modern societies. However, the graphical nature of the entity-relationship diagram represents a barrier in the access of the visually impaired to the academic courses in the field of Informatics. Thus, this article presents Der-Acessível, a web application designed to assist the teaching of relational databases through the modelling, conversion and sharing of entity relationship diagram (ERD) with accessibility options for visually impaired people.
