Abstract

Misconfiguration of IoT devices and backend containerized-cluster systems can expose vulnerable areas at the network level, potentially allowing attackers to penetrate the network and disrupt workload and the flow of data between system components. This paper describes a self-healing model based on a Markov decision process that can recover the misconfiguration and its impact on the workload and data flow at the network level. The results show that the proposed controller led to accurate results in performance and reliability.
