Abstract

Domestic violence within Uzbek families is a prevalent issue. This study explores the effects of individual and group psychological sessions, utilizing trauma-focused cognitive-behavioural and art therapy approaches, as part of a program supporting the psychological well-being of girls and women engaged in self-defence training. Qualitative data indicates that participants found both group and individual sessions to be effective. The study concludes with a discussion of limitations and implications for future research.
