Abstract

Problem-based learning is a widely used technique in supporting different educational efforts, in which the core idea is to understand a real problem and, starting from this point, to seek the elements that are necessary to solve it. This work presents an experience that shows the results of applying this technique in a typical computer science topic in a classical engineering curriculum. Preliminary results obtained by using this technique are discussed, and some directions for future work are proposed.
