Abstract

The implementation of business processes using Rule-based Systems requires efficient deployment of Rulebased Applications. This requires a system control interface for a Rule-based System to configure the Rulebased System and its input and output interfaces for a given application. Todays only proprietary interface are provided by Rule-based Systems based on their specific knowledge representation and implementation language. This paper presents a generic interface for the integration of a Rule-based System in an Enterprise Service Bus. The new Rule-based System interface extends the interoperability and flexibility of Rule-based Applications based on a proposed description standard for Rule-based Applications and their service interfaces.
