A Wireless Sensor Network System - For Monitoring Trees’ Health Related Parameters in a University Campus

Abstract

This paper presents an experimental Wireless Sensors Network system which aims to contribute to the transformation of a university campus into a living lab to experiment with applications in the context of a smart city. The system acquires environmental data related to the campus trees’ health, stores it in a server to be analysed and makes it available to be displayed in a mobile application. Details are given to the design and results of the server’s system and the MobApp.
