30 Years of Consulting and Developing for Food Processing

Abstract

The paper gives an overview of the company I have been working at and the practical work I have been doing for some 30 years, as well as the impact of the practical work on my theoretical positions. The company is rather exceptional in its application of a broad scope of knowledge areas in a specialised market. At RBK we both design production facilities & technical installations, and develop and implement information systems for the food processing industry. Short descriptions illustrate some characteristics of our projects and systems, the problems we attacked and the solutions we found. The impact of the practical experiences on my theoretical insights is discussed in the last part.
