Abstract

This research project aims to develop a prototype of a web-based application specifically designed to improve both the management of and the dialogue between cultural heritage institutions, as well as providing cataloging and web publishing tools for museums, primarily focusing on user interaction. Currently the project is still in progress and is developed by the Department of Electrics and Electronics Engineering of the University of Cagliari and SoSeBi Srl. It is financially supported by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia with European local development funds. Among the activities carried out so far, it deserves special attention the definition of an approach to provide aggregated information on the nature, range and articulation of the belongings of the museum, through a paradigm based on the concept of complex network.
