Abstract

This paper presents a Living Lab based on a wireless sensor network with a metropolitan area dimension. It is an experimental infrastructure providing real conditions to facilitate the development and testing of technological solutions in the context of a smart city in subjects such as wireless sensor networks, wireless data transmission, web services, software analytics and visualization systems. The first stage of the Lab is the development of a base target application for sensing the environmental conditions at various locations in an urban area.
