Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyse the effect of environmental learning strategy and student creativity on students' comprehension of pollution subject. Experimental factorial by two levels was conducted to 80 students selected via a cluster random sampling technique. Experimental learning strategy were applied using two strategies, they are the discovery learning and expository learning. It was found that there was significant difference between the effect of discovery and expository learnings on students' comprehension for students with higher creativity. There was also a marked difference between the effect of discovery and expository learnings on students' comprehension for students with lower creativity (F = 4, 37; p < 0,01). It was also found that there was an interaction between environmental learning strategy and student creativity on students' comprehension (F =5,89; p < 0,01). It can be concluded that applying the environmental learning strategy may increase students' comprehension on pollution subject and may improve students' creativity.
