Abstract

Public Relations of the 2nd Division Kostrad is part of the Army (AD) divisions that functions as the shield in information warfare at the kotama level (Main Tactical Command). As one of the benchmarks of success, the duty of Public Relations of the 2nd Division Kostrad is being able to the manage information professionally and proportionally, especially related to the socialization of various policies of the Army leadership, organizational coaching and professionalism enhancement of soldiers and the spread of information about TNI AD activities, so it can raise a positive image to the public. This study aims to determine the strategy of Public Relations of the 2nd Division Kostrad in raising positive image in the era of public information openness. This research uses the descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews with and direct observations by the researcher of the staff of Public Relations of the 2nd Division Kostrad. The results of the study show that the strategy of Government Public Relations of the 2nd Division Kostrad is using media relations. In the action and communication stage it is implementing online media as communication media relations so that all members of the public can access information through the website: divif2kostrad.com. Through online media, Public Relations of the 2nd Division Kostrad can publish the latest news and up-to-date information for the community, providing feedback as a back-up of the public and countering the existence of information that harms the positive image
