Abstract

A long queue of patients usually builds at registration desk of outpatients in RSUD dr. H. Moh. Anwar Sumenep. This happened before the launch of ARM (Anjungan Registrasi Mandiri). It is located at the Front Office desk which aims to parse queues and speed up the outpatient registration. The type of research is descriptive. Data was collected by observation and interviews. Analysis data is statistically descriptive. ARM is a machine tool that encourages prospective patients to register independently and improve the response time of patient registration. The method of application is that patient scans the card, chooses the desired polyclinic and payment method, then it will print the registration proof automatically. ARM implementation can parse the queue line and the registration response time is served much more quickly in less than 2 minutes in front office. Interviews describe that majority of patients were satisfied and ARM helped them through the innovation greatly and they no longer need to queue. ARM, as a tool to support patient registration, can be developed further to serve non-insurance patients. It is also a marketing tool for patients to schedule their upcoming medical check-ups at the hospital via SMS (Short Message Service) or social media.
