Abstract

Terangi Bumi has been established in Karangketug Village since April 22, 2014. The purpose is to prevent the death of a mother because of a lack of blood. Terangi Bumi begins with the identification of a maternal health problem. Furthermore, holding a Self-Awareness Survey and a village community consultation, communications with community supports, nongovernment organizations, information and communication technology, a health services organization, and the district health office. Monitoring and evaluation activities are conducted through internal research. There is a external review through a quarterly mini-workshop with the cross-sector. The maternal mortality rate due to bleeding was 0 (zero) from 2014 up to 2017. The blood donation was held with some Cooperative or the stakeholders. The free replacement cost for managing blood is approximately Rp 360,000. The search time for donors was up to half an hour, and the donor search was free. There is support blood from the Group Donor Voluntary Blood, so if at any time a vacancy occurs in the stock of blood in the Blood Transfusion Unit, the would be 40 volunteers available. Terangi Bumi is easy to be implemented. The village Randusari was replicated and Petahunan was to being made ready to replicate.
