Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is big problem that can have the impact of death. Indonesia is one of the 5 countries from the ASEAN that have a high rate of HIV. There were 15.8 million people living with HIV in Indonesia in 2015 is and in 2016 there were 18.2 million (49%) people who had taken anti-retroviral treatment (ART). The cumulative number of HIV patients in Probolinggo in 2016 is 895 and those who qualify for Antiretroviral drugs (ARV) is 621 while there are 403 people taking treatment. The aim to analysis belief, self-efficacy and other predictors of adherence to ART among women living with HIV. The design of this research was using analytic cross-sectional. Consecutive sampling was used to complete questionnaire with a logistic regression test. The result shows that they were aged from 30 to 34 years old (75%), elementary school taught (72.7%) and not employed (72.7%). Belief is the primary factor that is associated with adherence (p value= 0.002; OR= 33.525, CI=95%). The women who were 30-34 years old were significantly optimal adherence, because getting older provokes better thinking and suggestion for women who are 20 to 29 years old that need information about HIV and ARV.
