Abstract

Low Emission Zones (LEZ) are a common mechanism to regulate traffic jams and environmental pollution. Nevertheless, the problems of this solution are lack of privacy its reliance on centralized entities. The presented scheme continues the emerging trend of using cameras to only identify dishonest users, and proposes a decentralized access control system for LEZs, which, through a tailored group signature model, addresses the user’s privacy requirements that a public ledger like blockchain demands.
