Abstract

This article is devoted to the theoretical study of THz radiation emission from plasma taking into account the kinetic properties of nonequilibrium electron velocity distribution function (EVDF) formed in the process of tunnel ionization by the two-color laser femtosecond pulse. The dispersive equation for longitudinal oscillations was solved within the framework of elementary and kinetic models of plasma volume. It was shown that the accounting of plasma kinetics can lead to essential variation of the spectral characteristics of generated pulse thus leading to a change in signal duration.
