AN INTELLIGENT TUTORING SYSTEM FOR DATABASE TRANSACTION PROCESSING

Steve Barker, Paul Douglas

Abstract

We describe an intelligent tutoring system that may be used to assist university-level students to learn key aspects of database transaction processing. The tutorial aid is based on a well defined theory of learning, and is implemented using PROLOG and Java. Some results of the evaluation of the learning tool are presented to demonstrate its effectiveness as a tutorial aid in an e-learning environment.
