Abstract

For their reuse advantages, workflow patterns are increasingly attracting the interest of both researchers and vendors. However, actual workflow modeling tools do not provide functionalities that enable users to define, query, and reuse workflow patterns properly. In this paper we gather a set of requirements for process modeling tools that aim to support pattern reuse in a direct way. In order to demonstrate the feasibility of these requirements we present a respective implementation project that extends the process modeling tool EPC Tools with pattern reuse functionality.
