Abstract

These days, organisations must adapt to business and technical changes which are vital in a competitive and ever-changing business environment. To meet the dynamically changing requirements, virtual organisation is widely recognised as an effective solution. Multiple agent technology has been actively discussed and recognised as the merit of flexibility and adaptability. Thus, this technology can be applied to virtual organisations. To prevent from being impeded by using incongruous approaches to designing agent-based systems, systematic approach is essential to incorporate a variety of organisation business units that are required to meet current and future needs. This paper aims to present a systematic approach including process of analysis and design to designing virtual organisations. It also demonstrates a case study for application of this approach.
