Abstract

SaaS paradigm brings both many benefits to end users and many problems to software developers. One of such problems is an implementation of a data storage, which is able to satisfy needs of clients of a service provider, at the same time providing easy application interface for software developers and great opportunities for administration and scaling. This paper provides a brief review of existing problems in the field of organizing cloud data storages that are based on the relational data model and proposes the concept of architecture of RDBMS cluster dedicated to serve multi-tenant cloud applications.
