Abstract

It is important to analyse the impact of the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) effect on the intracardiac signal when electro-physiologic (EP) studies are carried out in a MR environment to develop tools for separating MHD related effects from intracardiac ECG signals. In this work an experimental setup is established to simulate the MHD effect in a phantom using common EP equipment and to analyse the pure MHD signal.
