Abstract

Time phrase parsing is useful to analyze Chinese text, because it is usually omitted expression in the Chinese text for the coherence and the cohesion. It is important to gain the temporal information, then it can be used to generate the tense of the verb. In this paper, with temporal information structures of HowNet, time phrases are divided into three categories, and a structure is designed to represent the temporal information of time phrases. Then, it puts forward a method to parse time phrases in Chinese text.
