Abstract:
Even though neither teachers nor learners are running for tacit knowledge, it is omnipresent even in engineering disciplines, such as electrical engineering and computer science. This paper is about a problem-based learning environment, the model railroad project that is being developed at the University of Rostock. Two case studies, done in the Summer Term 2009, indicate that this problem-based learning environment can indeed support the students in their studies.
