Abstract:
One of the key issues in smart home systems is the lack of interoperability between available solutions. While data representation and communication formats need to be unified, the goal is to provide intelligence for the system control. In this paper, we present a solution for Web services based smart home systems to publish semantic data, and to communicate with agent systems. Communication of browser-based agents with a smart home system is demonstrated. Efficiency of the system is measured and the results provided. The presented solution provides a basis for exploiting intelligence from multi-agent systems in smart home system control.
