Abstract:
Knowledge Management is a key factor in companies which have, therefore, started using strategies and systems to take advantage of its intellectual capital. However, employees frequently do not take advantage of the means to manage knowledge that companies offer them. For instance, employees often complain that knowledge management systems overload them with more work since they have to introduce information into these systems, or that this kind of tools floods them with too much knowledge which is not always relevant to them. In order to avoid these problems we have implemented a tool to recommend trustworthy knowledge sources in communities of practice. This tool is based on a multi-agent architecture in which agents attempt to help users to find the information which is most relevant to them. In order to do this, the agents use a trust model to evaluate how trustworthy a knowledge source (which may even be another agent) is.
