Abstract:
We describe the design of a process-centric solution for a specific enterprise process, proposal development, in a large consulting company. The solution is based on a semantic wiki and aimed at capturing informal knowledge processes. It improves collaboration while allowing proposal managers to allocate, track, and manage the work of development teams. We motivate our system by data gathered from more than 60 potential users and validate the approach through usability tests. We discuss technical and acceptance issues as well as future steps necessary to maximize deployment of the system.
