Abstract:
The problem of the evolutionary maintenance of large information systems is very critical. The time and costs required to adapt the system to the market’s evolutive dynamics are no longer compatible with the objectives of the business. The experimentation, on small-scale, in the laboratory of new technologies and new methods is ineffective for this type of systems and it is rare that the customer accepts the risk of innovations in an industrial project. In this paper we propose an intervention strategy and a reference architecture to transfer, using an approach based on "small steps", innovations obtained from research into new industrial applications.
