Abstract:
Tablet deployments at schools are becoming more and more popular. Research on how to effectively use tablets for teaching is unfortunately mostly missing. With this paper we share our experiences from various high school deployments in Germany. During these deployments we have developed a novel learning style designed for tablet-based teaching. We have evaluated our deployments through interviews with teachers and students. A quantitative survey compares the use of tablet devices with laptop computers.
