EVALUATING ONTOLOGIES WITH RUDIFY

Abstract
In this paper we present Rudify, a set of tools designed for the semi-automatic evaluation of ontological meta-properties based on lexical realizations of these meta-properties in natural language. We describe the development of Rudify, provide an evaluation of initial output, and describe how this output can be used in conjunction with OntoClean cite GuarinoWelty2002 to produce clean ontological hierarchies. In particular we show how a Rudify evaluation of concepts for the meta-property of rigidity can facilitate modelling types and roles.
