Abstract
Archived Data Management Systems (ADMS) offers an opportunity to take full advantage of the data collected by Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices in improving transportation operations and planning at a minimal additional cost. This paper develops an ITS data warehouse, or an ADMS, which can be used to a wide range of applications, such as more effective transportation planning, decision-making and performance measurement, extreme traffic event study, traveller information subscriber system, data support for model development, calibration and validation and so forth. In short, the development of such a data warehouse is going to be beneficial for both traffic management and research purposes.
