Abstract
Image compression enencoding is one of the key techniques in modern multimedia and communication field. The methods of image encoding are of a great variety currently every kind of encoding methods all exist respectively merit and shortcoming. This paper summarizes the traditiona image compression enencoding methods and the modern image encoding methods and the hybrid image encoding methods. The paper presents the direction of researching image compression enencoding next step.
