Abstract

The urban rail transit is playing a more and more role in the social and economic development, building a suitable ATP system in wireless LAN based CBTC system with low cost and high accuracy has become increasingly important. Based on the theories of wireless LAN-based CBTC and ATP system, this paper studies the general structure and modelling of ATP system in wireless LAN based CBTC system, and accordingly establishes the model of speed-distance brake curve for ATP system which is essential in optimal design of an ATP system. The model can realize a smooth train stopping and speed protection function. Meanwhile, strong wireless signal coverage improves the equipment reliability of internal communications. Comprehensive simulations on labVIEW platform verify the correctness of the model.
