formance indicators (such as revenue, penalty, etc)
can be mapped into operational metrics which include
both performance and power – and subsequently how
these could be used within a service level agreement;
(iii) design and implement policies (by applying the
power characterisation described in this work) to han-
dle Cloud computing environments in an optimized
way in terms of power saving and/or performance.
Although PUE metrics already exist for a data cen-
tre, our aim is to develop similar metrics for particular
applications.
