Abstract

Of particular interest, this paper treats Information and Communication Technologies applied to the Emergency Medical Services Division of the Lebanese Red Cross. Information for the case study is gathered through semi- structured interviews with five informants and a database of Secondary data is collected from available management reports, assessments, feasibility studies, project reporting and documentation. The case of the ICT implementation investigated in this study offers insight into an implementation of a prehospital emergency medical services. Though ICT implementations in pre-hospital care systems, are now common practice, what makes this case particular is that it is starting from a volunteer-based.
