Abstract
The chapter looks into the data fusion framework of CLAFIS (Crop, Livestock and Forests Integrated System for Intelligent Automation, Processing and Control in Arable and Livestock Farms, and Forests) EU- FP7 project. Part of the project looked at improving the existing services provided by FMIS which provide tentative suggestion to the farmer to perform certain tasks like spraying and fertilization based on the history, weather conditions, input from farmers and other aspects. In order to model these aspect and improve the precision of the services enough, for the farmer to rely on the services, data validation and prioritization techniques were implemented. Machine learning algorithms like Kalman filter which can fuse information from multiple source was also modeled.
