Abstract
Automating the provisioning and management of Cloud applications is one of the most important issues in Cloud Computing. The Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) is an OASIS standard for describing Cloud applications and their management in a portable and interoperable manner. TOSCA enables modeling the application’s structure in the form of topology models and employs the concept of executable management plans to describe all required management functionality regarding the application. In this paper, we give an overview of TOSCA and the OpenTOSCA Ecosystem, which is an implementation of the TOSCA standard. The ecosystem consists of standard-compliant tools that enable modeling application topology models and automating the provisioning and management of the modeled applications.
