Abstract
Vocational school is expected to create high competence students that they can develop their competency, entrepreneurship, and continue their study to university level. Achievement can be used to indicate the quality of students. The decrease of students’ achievement is a problem that should be analyzed. The teacher should choose an appropriate learning model to overcome this problem. Problem Based Learning can be used as a solution to increase students’ achievement. The aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning towards students’ learning achievement. Experimental study with quasi experimental design was implemented in this research. The total sample was 72 respondents. The result shos that Problem Based Learning gave a positive effect and significant towards students’ achievement. This research is expected to enrich the theoretical development of Problem Based Learning through different indicators and objects.
