Abstract
Background: Dental erosion is an oral problem which often occurs in children and adolescents. The most common cause of dental erosion is excessive consumption of soft drinks. One of the methods to prevent dental erosion caused by soft drinks is using products that are able to increase the remineralization of dental structure. A remineralization agent that can be used is CPP-ACPF which contains calcium, phosphate, and fluoride. Purpose: To examine the microporosity changes on the enamel surface of primary teeth exposed to soft drinks followed by application of CPP-ACPF.
