Abstract

Aim : The purpose of this report is to evaluate the success of dental implant osseointegration with an application of bone graft and L-PRF membrane while operator doing distalization of second molar using partial orthodontic fix appliance. Presentation of Case : A 46 year old female patient wanted to make an implant supported prostheses in an edentulous region in 36. Intraoral examination shows horizontal defect in buccal aspect of edentulous, tipped and mesioversion of 47.Mesial distal measurment of edentulous is 8mm with only 5mm space from 35 to 37. The surgical procedure was insertion neobiotech IS II implant body with bone graft and L-PRF membrane application. One week follow up showed no extra oral enlargement and asymmetrical face. Partial orthodntic fix appliance was inserted in 33, 34, 35, 37 with wire NiTi 0.16, open coil spring in 35-37 and ligation of 33, 34, and 35. 16 week follow up showed no inflamation in the patient. Intraoral examination shows 6mm space from 35 to 37. Radiography result showed good osseointegration around the periimplant area. The healing abutment was then installed and 17 week follow up showed no signs of inflammation and mobility. Conclusion :This report showed that the placement of dental implant is a success in the osseointegration of the implant with an addition of bone graft and an application of L-PRF membrane while operator doing distalization of second molar using partial orthodontic fix appliance
