Abstract

Urgency of character education in Indonesia is to develop the ability and form of character and dignified civilization in the intellectual life of the nation. The Cireundeu Leuwigajah Cimahi community, as one of indigenous communities, is able to internalize and preserve the values of cultural tradition into citizen character in dominance. The research uses descriptive method through survey method approach majority. The results showed that religious values with the name of the Ngaji Diri belief flow through the transmission of Madrais teachings. Moreover, the value of philosophy departs from two principles: the Way of Human Character and the Way of the Character of the Nation in the element of love, the order in kinship, the order of behavior, the language and culture, and the human nature. Character forms are measured on values of ancestral powers pioneered by the individual consciousness.
