Abstract

This study aims to describe the policy implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program based on the corporate vision and mandate of Oil and Natural Gas Law No. 22 of 2001. It also shows the community acceptance to the CSR programs that have been carried out. This study used qualitative methods with descriptive research. The unit taken for analysis is the CSR program implemented by SIPL Gresik Regency East Java Province. The results showed that the policy implementation of CSR through the community development program in the upstream oil and gas industry did not have standard operating procedures (SOP). However, it can be used as guidance by SIPL for carrying out social responsibility programs in their operational area even though it has strong legal basis in the form of the Oil and Gas Law no. 22 of 2001. SIPL has implemented the CSR program, based on the Oil and Gas Law no. 22 of 2001, through various model approaches based on the community need assessment regarding the concept of a triple bottom line around the operation area. Thus, local community acceptance of the program is relatively acceptable. Finally, the main strategy of the CSR program run by SIPL aims to secure the company's operations.
