Abstract
Along with the development of technology and easy access of the Internet in Indonesia, people prefer using the Internet and social media as a main source of information, including government policy. Some information does not have a clear source but uses governmental identities, which adds to the confusion and has a negative impact on government agencies. Through the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Republic of Indonesia Number 83 of 2012 on the Guidelines for Utilization of Government Agencies’ Social Media, the Government of Public Relations is required to be proactive in immediately conveying futuristic, progressive, and given information, either on policies or programs proclaimed by the government through social media. Thus, government to government (G2G), Government to Business (G2B) and Government to Citizen (G2C) communications can be established and carried out easily. But the reality is, not all social media government agencies are managed effectively and can be accepted by the community. From many social media accounts of government agencies, the posts on the Twitter accounts of the Directorate General of Tax @DitjenPajakRI is often discussed by the public. They go viral and become the spotlight of much mainstream media. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, which describes the communication activity of @DitjenPajakRI account. Based on the results of research, Twitter account activity @DitjenPajakRI has two prominent goals: news oriented, and dialogue-oriented. The @DitjenPajakRI account chooses to use a casual style of daily language communication among adolescents today. The use of this language style is a strategy to build relationships with and communicate more closely with the millennial generation
