Dedication Activity in Public Society for Detection and Diabetic Mellitus Treatment with Public Organization

Abstract
Diabetic Mellitus is one of health problems in Indonesia. From 50% unattached diabetics, only two-thirds who took medical treatment and the other (one-thirds) had been well-controlled. Dedication activities done by public organization using process objective approach will develop co-operative society member on these situation. The dedication activity on public society has been done for six months with the target was those aged 20 to 69 years and have diabetic family medical records. There was correlation amongst direct blood glucose test with BMI and diabetics science. Quantitative Analytic Observational study with cohort design methods used in these action research was Fisher Exact Probability Statistic Analytics Test with 95% approvals. The total participants of this dedication activity were 160 people, with 34.63% was well-organized and 32.46% was diabetics. Detected with direct blood glucose testing and weight-scale measurement of obesity categories based on BMI standards showed the over-weight was 17.24%, normal was 36.12% and under-weight was 2.58%. Quantitative Analytic had showed there was no relation between BMI and diabetes knowledge of diabetics. Public Society Organization can influence the participation of people in early detection of diabetes while they need more time-consume. Healthy life should be applied rather just knowing about diabetes mellitus
