Abstract
The Act East Policy (AEP) is a policy initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014. This policy is an improvement of Look East Policy formed by Narasimha Rao in the early 1990s. The aim of this policy is to make India a strong country not only in the economic field but also in the military and in technology. The establishment of the AEP is allegedly to keep pace with China's growing strength not only in Asia but also in the world. In its development India has relations with countries such as China, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, ASEAN and Australia in order to implement AEP. This AEP can be analyzed through national attributes level of analysis, especially energy needs. it argues that the energy needs of a country can be a factor in shaping the country's policies.
