Abstract

The purpose of study to analyze the effect of broad money (m2), narrow money (m1), exchange rate, amount of rice and soybean production, rainfall and the maximum temperature on the high food prices in Indonesia for the period 2007-2017. The study used multiple linear regressions, to examine the study hypothesis. The empirical analysis show that broad money (m2) narrow money (m1), amount of rice and soybean production, rainfall and the maximum temperature significant and positively affects on the high food prices in Indonesia and exchange rate significant and negative affected on the high food prices in Indonesia, particularly rice and soybean. This study also found that narrow money (m1) had the most dominant influence on high food price in Indonesia. caused look at the society of velocity of money fast, that is trough economy and business transaction, that impact on the high food prices in Indonesia.
