Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the implications of General Agreement on Trade and Service (GATS) as a part of World Trade Organization (WTO) principles in the foreign investment principles in the liberalization of current Indonesian banking law. This research is supported by the normative legal method. The results of this study shows, first, Indonesian banking legislation originally embraced limited liberalization (partial liberalization) becomes full liberalization. Second, the mastery of Indonesian banks by foreign investors jeopardizes the existence of national banks in Indonesia.
