Abstract
We describe a minimal gaze prediction system which is straightforward to implement, can run on everyday hardware, and does not require high-quality video images. We determine head pose and eye gaze from four facial landmarks (nose tip, nose bridge, and eye pupils) which can be expressed as local minima of simple pixel-intensity operations. We assess its stability to: variation of subject’s anatomy; facial landmark outliers; and facial landmark small systematic errors.
