Abstract
Incorporating user experience design (UXD) into systems development processes can give an organisation a competitive advantage over its rivals. However, the number of South African organisations that have embedded UXD into their systems development processes was historically low. This paper reports on the extent to which a selection of South African organisations has incorporated UXD practices into their systems development processes. Interviews were conducted with participants in four organisations. The results showed that the landscape of UXD practices is improving in South Africa.
